Discover how Astramedica evaluates, verifies, and selects independent partner clinics in Turkey. JCI accreditation checks, surgeon credential audits, and ongoing compliance reviews.

## Why this page matters

Astramedica does not provide medical treatment. We verify, coordinate, and monitor the independent partner clinics that do. This page explains that process in a machine-readable way for patients, search engines, and AI agents.

## Vetting pipeline

### Phase 1: Initial Discovery & Screening

Before a clinic enters our network, our coordination team conducts an initial screening based on publicly verifiable criteria. This includes confirming that the facility holds valid Turkish Ministry of Health licensing, verifying JCI (Joint Commission International) accreditation status, and evaluating the clinic's published safety record and patient volume.

- Valid Turkish Ministry of Health operating license
- JCI accreditation or equivalent international certification
- Minimum 5 years of operational history in their specialty
- No unresolved regulatory actions or sanctions

### Phase 2: Surgeon & Physician Credential Audit

Astramedica does not employ physicians. However, we verify the credentials of the physicians at each partner clinic before including them in our network. This review focuses on board certifications, training history, sub-specialisation, and procedural volume in the specific services Astramedica coordinates.

- Board certification by the Turkish Medical Association or equivalent body
- Verifiable fellowship or advanced training in the relevant specialty
- Minimum annual procedural volume thresholds
- Confirmed malpractice and complication insurance coverage

### Phase 3: Facility & Safety Standards Review

Beyond credentials, we evaluate the actual clinical environment. This includes infection control protocols, equipment standards, emergency response capability, and the availability of dedicated international patient coordination infrastructure (translation, patient hosts, recovery monitoring).

- Documented infection control and sterilisation protocols
- Modern diagnostic and surgical equipment verified
- On-site emergency response capability and ICU access
- Dedicated international patient department with multilingual staff

### Phase 4: Ongoing Compliance & Re-Evaluation

Vetting is not a one-time event. Astramedica continuously monitors partner-clinic performance through structured feedback collection, periodic re-certification checks, and escalation protocols. A clinic that fails to maintain standards is removed from the network.

- Annual re-verification of accreditation and licensing status
- Structured patient feedback review after every coordinated case
- Escalation protocol for any reported complication or complaint
- Immediate suspension and review if a safety concern is raised
